Lister Namumba-Rikhotso is a media monitoring, research and advocacy specialist with over 20 years in human rights activism and 15 years advancing media ethics across Zambia and South Africa. As Programme Manager at Media Monitoring Africa, she leads initiatives on information integrity, including African consultations on ACHPR Resolution 630 to strengthen platform accountability and counter disinformation. A champion for equality and ethical portrayal in news, her work challenges stereotypes, amplifies women’s and children’s voices, and promotes inclusive representation. Through research, policy advocacy, and creative storytelling, she continues to shape journalism standards, protect vulnerable groups, and advance democratic discourse across the continent.
