Chairperson & Acting Executive Director, Digital Rights Frontlines (DRF)

Nelson Kwaje is a South Sudanese digital rights advocate, tech entrepreneur, and community builder passionate about data, innovation, and social impact. He is the Chairperson and Acting Executive Director of Digital Rights Frontlines (DRF), a leading ICT4D organization advancing information integrity, digital literacy, and cyber safety across East Africa. 

Nelson is also the founder of Scenius Hub, a creative and technology space in Juba that nurtures youth innovation, art, and civic engagement. With over a decade of experience in technology, media, and advocacy, he has led regional initiatives such as #defyhatenow, Digitalise Youth, and InfoBridge, promoting responsible digital transformation, open data, and inclusion. 

He frequently speaks at global and regional forums on digital governance, internet freedom, and youth empowerment, championing Africa’s data future built on trust, creativity, and collaboration.
