Dr. Nour BAKAYOKO is a Senior Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Consultant, Counseling Psychologist, and Psychotherapist. With over ten years of professional experience, he supports individuals, couples, families, and communities in promoting mental health and psychosocial well-being, as well as preventing and responding to violence against women and girls.
As the Founder of PsyTrotter Côte d’Ivoire, he is widely recognized for his commitment to preventing and responding to Gender-Based Violence (GBV), advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), strengthening child protection systems and building the capacities of frontline professionals. His work is grounded in a human rights-based approach that promotes dignity, active listening, resilience, and the empowerment of individuals and communities.
Convinced that there can be no sustainable development without mental health, Dr. BAKAYOKO actively advocates for greater recognition of psychosocial well-being across Africa. He is particularly committed to promoting the mental health of human rights defenders, activists, frontline workers, and community leaders, believing that caring for those who protect others is essential to achieving lasting social change.
