I am an Associate Professor of History at Boston University. My research and teaching focus on social movements in Latin America, including Indigenous, Women’s, Afro-Reggae, and urban neighborhood movements. I direct the Seeing and Not Seeing Faculty Seminar, which brings together faculty from across the social sciences and humanities to learn ways of sensing and holding multiplicity. We invite scholars, artists, and activists to meet with us and discuss their work, and together we develop a Seeing and Not Seeing approach and toolkit.
