Maryam Khamis is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology at the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA), where she teaches, conducts research, and supervises student projects in computing and emerging digital technologies. She is actively involved in the Cybersecurity Remote Lab Initiative, contributing to research and capacity building in cybersecurity education through hands-on remote laboratory environments, and is also a researcher in the Kilimo na Data Project, which promotes data-driven and digital solutions for sustainable agriculture. In addition, she serves as the Manager of the SUZA Bureau of Consultancy, where she coordinates the University’s professional consultancy services and fosters collaboration with government institutions, development partners, industry, and local communities.
