Bernard has more than 15 years of experience researching Africa’s data revolution, the continent’s evolving Data Governance landscape and its Digital Transformation efforts; subjects he has extensively written on and spoken about at events around the world. At APHRC Bernard currently coordinates the Gates Data Systems Project on Strengthening Subnational Data Value Chains in Africa, a BMGF-funded effort to focus attention on the importance of strong data and evidence architecture at local administrative levels.
