Bernard Sabiti

Project Coordinator, African Population and Health Research Center

With over 15 years of experience as a researcher and public policy analyst exploring the trajectory of Africa’s data revolution and digital transformation, I have a deep understanding of the dynamic relationship between data, technology, and society in Africa. I have written extensively on the continent’s data governance landscape, technology policy architecture and other D4D topics.

I have worked and consulted for several organizations promoting the use of data and evidence for inclusive development in Africa. I have done data governance research and data landscape diagnostics in several African countries including Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Uganda and South Sudan.

Through Policy Research and analysis as well as building strategic partnerships and Engagement, I have developed a deep understanding of how data and digital technologies are upending the African society and how to leverage these opportunities of the Fourth Industrial Revolution for Africa’s sustainable development.
