Edmond Babalanda is an award-winning East African Emerging Public Interest Litigation Advocate, a member of the Uganda Law Society and the East Africa Law Society. He is the manager Dispute Resolution Practice Group at ALP Advocates. Edmond specializes in public interest litigation, AI governance, fraud & financial crimes, and general dispute resolution. Edmond has researched extensively on AI governance and co-authored reports on comparative analysis of AI laws and policies in East and Southern Africa and on generative AI and freedom of expression in East Africa. With a keen passion for public interest litigation, fraud, and financial crimes. Edmond has demonstrated exceptional dedication to combating white-collar crimes ensuring justice is served in complex financial matters challenging systemic injustices and championing the causes of the indigent and refugees in Uganda. He is determined to continue advancing legal reforms that bring about meaningful change and foster a more just and equitable society.
