Haguma Jimmy is by rank, a Senior Superintendent of Police (Law Enforcement) and serves as the Head Electronic Counter Measures department under the Directorate of ICT where he is responsible for providing cyber security, resilience and assurance services. He has built a capacity of over sixteen (16) years of experience in the areas of Policing and particularly as a technology enthusiast. He is a member of the EC- Council as a Certified Ethical Hacker, Certified Hacker Forensics Investigator and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners as a Certified Fraud Examiner.
Furthermore, he holds an honors degree of Masters of Science in Information Systems, Post Graduate studies in Social Justice and Humanities and undergraduate degree in Information Technology and Computing. Prior to that, he served, as the Chief Security Officer to the Uganda Communications Commission for three (3) years, Acting Commissioner of Police Cyber Crimes – Directorate of Forensics Services for (1) year, Acting Commissioner of Police Information Technology and Information Management for (3) years, Acting Commissioner of Police Electronic Counter Measures for (3) years and as Senior Trainer at the Police Training College for (4) years. He is also associate member of the International Association of Police Academies (INTERPA), Commonwealth Cybercrime Initiative Forum (CCIF), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and Associate member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
