Rapudo Hawi has over 18 years of experience as a research consultant, civic-tech and development practitioner, and security and governance specialist. He has worked with Kijiji Yeetu, Usalama Forum, County Governance Watch, PeaceNet, Chemchemi Ya Ukweli, UNDP, and UN-Habitat. He holds an MSc in Governance, Peace, and Security, a BA in Leadership and Management, and a Diploma in Community Development. As the Secretary-General of the Internet Society Kenya Chapter, he established an innovation hub, increased membership from 1300 to 2270, and hosted the 10-year ISOC-KE Anniversary. He is also a fellow with Missions Publiques, Global Program 2023–2026 (#WetheInternet). Hawi leads Kijiji Yeetu, focusing on technology and internet governance, climate change, security, and governance. He serves as a Technical Advisor at County Governance Watch and has contributed to Catalyst 2030, AccessNow, ICoCA, SaferWorld, UN-Habitat, UNV, UNDP, and the ICGLR.
