For the past 6 years, I have studied online behaviour, digital threats, and how bad actors misuse technology to manipulate information ecosystems. Through this work, I have gained a deep understanding of how harmful networks operate, influence public discourse, and exploit digital platforms for disinformation and influence operations. I specialise in Digital Rights, OSINT, digital investigations, and influence operations, with a focus on the Global South, particularly Sub-Saharan Africa. As a former Research Coordinator at Whitehead Communications and Co-founder and Operations Lead at Thraets, a pro-democracy tech research lab dedicated to combating digital threats to democracy in the Global South, I led research into disinformation campaigns, foreign influence campaigns, and election interference. My expertise spans OSINT, data analysis, surveillance tech investigations, less-lethal weapons (e.g., teargas), and extremist networks. I have collaborated with leading organisations, including CIPESA, Omega Research, and Africa Uncensored, to advance responsible technology use in Africa.
