Varaidzo is the AI Africa Lead at MERL Tech Initiative. Previously, she served as Programs Manager and later Grants and Partnerships Manager at Pollicy. She holds an Executive Postgraduate Diploma in Development Policies and Practices from the Geneva Graduate Institute.
Her expertise lies at the intersection of feminist technology policy, data governance, and pan-African digital inclusion, with a focus on human rights program design. She has extensive experience across West, Southern, and Eastern Africa in feminist movement building, strategy, governance, compliance, and resource mobilization for non-profits and social enterprises.
Varaidzo chairs the UN Women A.C.T. Fund Civil Society Regional Network for East and Southern Africa, serves as Treasurer for Art+ Feminism, and sits on the Board of Directors for Gender Rights in Tech (GRIT).
